Jugar en Linux con Steam
Para jugar en Linux, una opción es instalar la plataforma Steam.
Steam permite jugar en Linux, Macos y Windows.
Para Linux, tenemos juegos nativos y podemos también usar juegos de Windows gracias a la capa de compatibilidad Proton, que es un fork de Wine.
Para activarla debemos ir al menú Steam > Settings > Compatility y activar Steam Play para todos los títulos:
No todos los juegos son 100% compatibles o funcionales con Linux. Por este motivo, debemos fijarnos primero en la Base de Datos de Proton, si es compatible, si está roto o si implica mecanismos anti trampa.
Para activar los mecanismos antitrampa, debemos consultar si el juego es compatible en Linux con estos mecanismo consultando la base de datos Are We Anti-Cheat Yet?.
Si el juego el compatible debemos instalar 2 aplicaciones dentro de Steam:
- Proton BattleEye Runtime
- Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime
Y armaremos la siguiente línea de parámetros de arranque:
